HKWPEA was proud to be one of the supporting organisations of the 4th Golden Age Expo & Summit 2019 themed “Age beyond Border” at HKCEC March 8-10. Rebecca Choy, Founder and Chair of Golden Age Foundation, officiated at the Opening jointly with the Hon Matthew Cheung, Guest of Honour, and many VIP guests, sponsors and academic partners.
At the Opening, Angela To led a dialogue with the Chief Secretary who outlined new policies on the ageing population. Dr. Alice Tso, Agnes Koon and Caroline Mak were invited to speak at the Summit Sessions to raise public awareness of social issues on the respective topics of “Primary Healthcare Models”, “Health Insurance for Golden Ager” and “Innovative Retail Model”. Both Eva Cheng and Salome See contributed to the success of the event and many members attended too.
The 20+ Summit sessions fostered insightful exchanges. It was also a fun-filled and informative expo. With a record high of over 25,300 visitors, the interest and enthusiasm of the audience and attendees were evident. Rebecca expressed her special thanks to the association and our members for the on-going support to this annual event.
