With the Nation’s pledge to go carbon neutral in 2060 and Hong Kong SAR’s pledge to do so in 2050, a momentum never felt before has arisen in the field, bringing in tremendous new knowledge, innovation, and opportunities. Unfortunately at the same time, climate change is developing – droughts, floods, inclement weather… leading possibly to food production and water shortage.
A fireside chat titled “Carbon Neutrality & Climate Resilience in GBA” was presented by the Committee to address the crisis and its solutions.
Mr.CW Tse, Secretary for Environment & Ecology, and Professor Christine Loh, our Outstanding Professionals & Entrepreneurs Awardee in 2021, were invited to speak for the night. 52 participants in the audience were all ears and enjoyed interacting with the speakers in the Q&A session. Optional light dinner was available for the evening talk at a fee.
